A tale of three childhood friends, their friendship and love. Through the trials of the deep palace and the temptations of power, will love never change and friendships stay true?
Duan Fei Hong (Zhang Han), Miao Feng Yan (Bai Bing) and Ning Cai Die (Zheng Shuang) plays three childhood friends whose lives change when the lovers Fei Hong and Feng Yan are split up when Miao Feng Yan is sent to the palace. While Cai Die maintains her innocence outside the palace wall, betrayal and intrigue changes Feng Yan’s character as she schemes for power.
Feng Yan is an orphan girl who danced her way into becoming an imperial consort. Although she would do anything for the love and attention of the Emperor, Tang Yi Zong, however she secretly still longed for her first love; Duan Fei Hong who later was found to be Tang Li Yue, the long lost brother of the Emperor.
When Li Yue's coup fails, the three childhood friends escape together on a boat. On the quiet lake, it was as if they returned to their childhood, but everything has changed. They can no longer return to the time of their childhood...
Comments:
Story started with the 2 good friends wanting to save the princess, who is the half sister of the Emperor. The princess is the one who had raised and took care of them since young. I find it weird that in the end instead of saving the princess, Feng Yan ends up killing the person whom she aimed to rescue in the first place.
Last part before the ending is the most interesting or rather silly. Either Li Yue's stupid or he is totally not the right person to be Emperor, he actually give up his upper hand when he had lead thousands to upsurp the position of his brother the Emperor for the sake of looking for the 2 ladies, Cai Die and Feng Yan. By him doing so, I could have imagined how many would be put to death by the useless Emperor.
If you ask me I would think that Feng Yan is totally insane to go back to the useless Emperor. Even though he is in love with Feng Yan, but being the Emperor he had so many women around him. Especially fickle minded and might get rid of her anytime. I would have gone and escape with Duan Fei Hong instead.
This is a very low cost drama with so fake background views of lakes, palace, forests, buildings,... Too much reduced required supporting actors. This drama is poorly directed and too much no common sense. It seems the palace has no guards and anyone can move and do anything freely. The drama also puts up nonsense advance medical which is not exist in ancient times. It also does not match the forbidden things to do in ancient chinese palace. Too much fake and not logical stories. Only nice thing is a pretty actress. Storyline line 5/10, fiction 5/10, actor/actress play 6/10, facts 5/10, director 5/10. Overall this drama is 5/10 according to all Asian dramas excluding of Japanese dramas which is always well done.
